Isabelle’s Festival is not just about music and celebration; it’s a platform for meaningful change and environmental stewardship.

Our mission

Our dedication to fostering positive change extends to the protection and conservation of marine ecosystems, with a particular focus on sharks. Through our charitable arm, Isabelle Protège, we proudly champion the protection and exploration of shark sanctuaries, notably Protect Malpelo and Kap Natirel—two pivotal initiatives dedicated to safeguarding these apex predators and fostering marine conservation efforts.

Through the power of music, celebration, and collective action, Isabelle’s Festival is poised to become a beacon of hope and inspiration for marine conservation. Together, we can make a difference—one beat, one step, and one shark at a time. Join us in our journey to safeguard the future of our oceans and create a world where marine life thrives for generations to come.

  • Protect Malpelo is emblematic of conservation excellence, collaborating with esteemed partners such as Sharkwater Colombia and the Biodiversity Conservation Trust, fortified by the unwavering support of the Colombian Government. The sanctuary it safeguards, designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2006, serves as a critical refuge for endangered marine species, including sharks. Since January 2018, Protect Malpelo has taken decisive action by deploying ranger patrols, forging partnerships with the Colombian Navy and local NGOs, and spearheading impactful educational campaigns and media initiatives to raise awareness and mobilize support. Isabelle Protégé further augments these efforts by facilitating yearly research sea excursions for marine biologists, focusing on advancing our understanding of sharks and their habitats.

  • Additionally, Isabelle Protégé collaborates closely with Kap Natirel, a respected leader in marine conservation based in Guadeloupe. Through its coordination of the French Antilles Shark Network, Kap Natirel brings together a diverse array of stakeholders dedicated to studying and safeguarding sharks throughout the French West Indies. By harnessing collective expertise and resources, their efforts aim to deepen our knowledge, elevate public awareness, and implement effective conservation measures tailored to the unique environmental and socio-economic contexts of the region.

Aligned with the principles of Protect, Learn, and Share, Kap Natirel has produced a wealth of research reports and educational materials, empowering communities and decision-makers alike to champion marine conservation. Their collaborative approach fosters dialogue and cooperation among stakeholders, including fishermen, ensuring that conservation strategies are not only effective but also equitable and sustainable.

  • The impact of Isabelle Protege’s support for Protect Malpelo and Kap Natirel reverberates far beyond the confines of our festival. By championing the protection of these vital marine ecosystems, we are contributing to the preservation of marine biodiversity and the sustainable management of our oceans. Our commitment extends beyond rhetoric to tangible action, and we invite you to join us in our mission to Protect Malpelo, Kap Natirel, and the precious legacy of our oceans.
